Attraction pass provider Leisure Pass Group is opening up its custom management platform, known as Leisure Pass Operating System (LPOS), to its North American partners.
The operating system will make it easier for U.S.-based convention and visitors bureaus and destination marketing organizations to launch and manage their own multi-attraction passes.
The announcement came from Leisure Pass Group CEO Ted Stimpson at Arival: The In-Destination Event in Las Vegas today.
With the LPOS platform, CVBs and DMOs can manage the entire lifecycle of each attraction pass, starting at the point of purchase. The technology enables pass scanners for cashless entry at featured attractions, and the mobile solution connects smaller local providers with Leisure Pass Group’s online distribution network.

For partners operating with LPOS, Leisure Pass Group also provides marketing support and investment to help drive sales and profit.
Based in the United Kingdom, Leisure Pass Group initially developed the LPOS system for its London Pass attraction option, and over the past decade the technology has been applied to a number of third-party multi-attraction passes in Europe including the Vienna Pass and Stockholm Pass.
“LPOS was designed by experts, drawing on decades of experience in managing passes in both leading and up-and-coming destinations,” Stimpson says.
“It’s perfect for CVBs looking for ways to market all of their partner attractions at once, and to drive incremental business. If the city receives in excess of 500,000 visitors annually, and can bring together 10 or more visitor attractions, tours and experiences, we can help create a dynamic pass product which is easy to operate on the ground and represents a compelling new way of reaching a global travel audience.”
The LPOS technology currently processes more than three million passes and 15 million attraction visits each year.
Leisure Pass Group operates in 36 cities in 17 countries across five continents.
