Hospitality tech provider Infor has snapped up Canada-based Vivonet - pushing its portfolio of tools for hotels into food and beverage.
Terms of the deal between the two companies have not be disclosed.
Eighteen-year-old Vivonet's platform is currently housed in over 4,000 locations, including hotels and restaurants.
The acquisition is being touted by Infor as a method of extending its suite of technology services for hotels into new areas, such as point-of-sale, inventory management and procurement tech.
Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor, says: "Last-mile industry functionality enables Infor customers to use the cloud to harness the power of their mission-critical data to transform their business with machine learning, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence."
The U.S.-based company works with a string of major hotel chains and has its tech in use in 20,000 locations around the world.
