Google has further strengthened its presence in travel industry by launching Stories, a Google+ feature that generates travelogues by using photos and videos uploaded in a user's Google+ account.
The highlight of this new feature is - users just have to upload media into their Google+ account - then Stories will get to work by selecting the best pictures among all, understanding the geo-tag and places mapped to pictures, ordering the photos by date/time, and automatically creating an online travelogue.
Users will be able to add notes to photos, add/remove photos, view the travelogue in full screen, and rebuild the travelogue automatically.
Stories also plugs in relevant destination information and adds a visual map to represent the trip path.
By default, the travelogue will be in private mode. Users can edit the content and make it public.
To start with, this feature will be available in the web-version and Android platform, it will "soon" launch for iOS platform.
Also, Google has made its "Auto Awesome Movies" feature (earlier available only in certain Android phones) available in web, Android and iOS platforms. This feature will automatically use the videos and pictures in Google+ account to create a video with transition effect and background music.
