Travel Intelligence has secured its first major white label partnership under the stewardship of ex-Ebookers managing director Alan Josephs - a purpose built hotel booking engine for high-end publisher Conde Nast Traveller.
A version of the TI Starfish platform is working behind the main CNTraveller site to provide a fully functioning search and booking facility for around 3,000 hotels around the world.
It replaces the old system which saw visitors sent away to the hotel's own website in order to check availability and book a room.
The majority of hotels are located in Europe and feature in the four and five-star category range.
Josephs, who left Ebookers in the summer of 2009 for the CEO position at Travel Intelligence, says many of the hotels also feature content written by Conde Nast's editorial team.
The commercial partnership is based on a revenue share against bookings made at each hotel.
Securing the CNTraveller brief for the Travel Intelligence Group, which includes the TravelIntelligence and Chic Retreats consumer-facing brands, will soften the blow of losing the Mr and Mrs Smith booking partnership in October 2009.
The switch to an online booking system for hotels comes as part of a wider relaunch of CNTraveller by its parent firm, Conde Nast Digital International, home to a string of well known consumer titles such as Vogue, Glamour, GQ and the UK version of Wired.
