Access control system provider Dormakaba has signed a binding agreement to acquire hotel guest experience tech provider Alliants for an undisclosed amount.
Switzerland-based Dormakaba, which manufactures door hardware and building access systems, said the acquisition will strengthen its global position and expand its hospitality offerings.
Alliants, founded in 2009 in the U.K., offers features such as concierge, contactless check-in, mobile key, payments, messaging and agentic artificial intelligence. It can also deliver room keys through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The acquisition effectively extends Dormakaba beyond physical access into the digital hotel guest experience.
The companies will remain interoperable with other providers across the tech stack, with the transaction anticipated to close this year after regulatory approval.
