Ground transportation is apparently the new battlefield in travel distribution, apparently - the car-sharing startups beginning to make a fair amount of noise in the past year or so.
The likes of Uber, TaxiPal, Hailo, myTaxi et al are starting to motor along as businesses (no pun intended) and attempt to challenge the traditional car hire and taxi services in cities around the world.
But what are the numbers around the concept?
Indeed, is the model making a difference to the environment? How are users getting involved with the service, primarily via mobiles? What type of people are using it?
BlaBlaCar has disclosed a bunch of data today to demonstrate what is going on with its service. The brand name could be swapped for some of the others, of course, but the ratios are interesting to gauge how the the person-to-person concept is developing and where it might go.
