Ryanair officially unveiled its first app back in September last year (after keeping it quiet for around six months) - and now it is bringing its unique approach to web merchandising also to mobiles.
RyanairTalk launched today, giving users the chance to phone any landline or other mobile device using a wifi or 3G data connection.
The app was developed in conjunction with global telecommunication provider WaveCrest and is available on both Android and iPhone devices.
The main, paid-for Ryanair app already includes many of the airline's ancillary services, such as priority boarding, priority check-in, as well as the ability to buy tickets and manage a booking.
Almost inevitably, the earlier app does not exactly have gushing reviews in the iTunes App Store.
The launch of RyanairTalk comes a week or so after another app appeared on the scene. This time in the form of a game from Northern Ireland-based startup SendMyBag (Tlabs here).
In a thinly veiled poke at the Ryanair CEO across the border in Dublin, O'Greedy allows users to grab as many passengers as they move across a terminal, earning more points depending on the type of customer.
Silly and fun.
Surprised Michael O'Leary isn't dreaming up a game of his own. For a fee, of course.
