Vacation rental management company VTrips is following through on its acquisition plan by acquiring Southern Vacation Rentals.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
With Southern Vacation Rentals, VTrips adds 1,120 vacation rental properties spanning the Florida Panhandle to the Alabama Gulf Coast as well as 123 team members to its portfolio.
Speaking with PhocusWire in February, VTrips chief growth officer Sandra Brahn alluded to expanding the company’s presence in markets surrounding Florida as part of its $250 million investment in acquisitions.
In 2021, VTrips made more than 20 acquisitions, including Resort Property Management, Distinctive Beach Rentals and Resort Collection, bringing the total number of vacation rentals it manages to more than 5,000.
“VTrips offers its new partners the strength of a large corporate infrastructure while retaining the companies’ brand integrity and local presence in their respective markets,” Brahn says.

As part of the deal, Southern Vacation Rentals CEO Scott Seay will transition to VTrips as chief strategy officer.
“After 27 years in the vacation rental business, our four founders have created an incredible business here in the Florida Panhandle, and we have been growing exponentially over the last several years,” Seay says.
“It just so happens there was another great company in the same industry looking to expand its overall business, and a great match was made. Very quickly, these two companies joined forces to bring the two teams together.”
