Online tours and activities specialist Reserve Direct has
rebranded to Tripster.
The U.S-based company has been running independent websites
for different destinations up to now but has consolidated the content onto
one platform under the new brand.
Tripster, which offers tours and activities in more than 20
destinations across the U.S. and Canada, believes the name better reflects its
goal of making “experience-based travel simple and affordable.”
According to a statement, more than 1.2 million customers have
used its websites to plan and book experiences in the past 18 years.
John Johnson, president and CEO of Tripster, says:
“When it all began, I’m not certain we envisioned the growth
we’ve experienced.
“We are grateful for our travel supplier partnerships and
equally grateful that we’ve been able to build something that, as Tripsters
ourselves, helps travelers make the most of their trips, big or small.”

The statement says the company was one of the first to
provide an extranet-based inventory and rate management system for tours and
activity suppliers.
The company has also developed connections with hotel channel
management systems and tours and activities platforms such as Rezdy.
Tripster says it has processed more than $350 million in
domestic experience-based travel. It adds that it has seen three consecutive
years of more than 15% growth in orders and revenue with 2018 its most
successful year so far with more than $41 million in gross sales.
The company also plans to raise capital later this year.
