Sabre, Mindtrip and PayPal have partnered to develop an agentic artificial intelligence (AI) experience for travel.
The AI-powered travel assistant is anticipated to launch in the second quarter on the Mindtrip platform. The product will be rolled out in phases, initially supporting flights, with hotels added later.
The tool will be able to describe destinations in natural language, provide personalized recommendations for flights and hotels, ask follow-up questions and, notably, complete bookings. Users will pay directly within the experience.
“Under the hood, Sabre’s immense travel platform powers complex real-time shopping, pricing, availability, booking and servicing, while PayPal’s digital wallet enables identity verification, along with providing a streamlined, personalized and trusted checkout experience,” the companies said.
After booking, the tool can oversee itinerary changes as well.
The companies said the partnership will leverage the conversational AI interface from Mindtrip, a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2025, with PayPal as the agentic commerce partner and Sabre powering underlying capabilities through its Mosaic program, APIs and global partner network.
Michelle Gill, general manager of small business and financial services at PayPal, called the product the “next generation of agentic AI,” allowing travelers to move through discovery, planning and booking within one experience.
Gary Wiseman, Sabre’s chief product and technology officer, added, “This partnership is disruptive in all the right ways, challenging industry norms while giving our partners the upside of transformation without the turbulence.”
