Hotel distribution technology specialist Travelgate has acquired AO U.K., adding content orchestration into its platform.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed but the acquisition adds more than 20 years of product information expertise to Travelgate’s network of buyers and sellers.
AO U.K., which was founded in 2006, offers AO Campaign, a solution that combines product information management, digital asset management and master data management into one tool.
The acquisition enables Travelgate’s customers to “create, enrich and control their content with precision,” the company said.
Brian Malarkey will remain with AO, taking the role of CEO, while Darren Pye stays on as CTO.
“AO Campaign was engineered for environments where product information complexity is high and commercial consequences are real,” said Malarkey. “Travel has always demanded that standard. Joining Travelgate gives the platform the global scale and industry depth where it will deliver the greatest impact.”

Travelgate, which was founded in 2012, was acquired by Travelsoft Group in May 2023.
