Kayak for Business is launching artificial intelligence (AI)-powered trip building, trip support and an agent-to-agent connector for corporate travel.
The three AI capabilities will be integrated into the planning and booking experience, with recommendations “grounded in the policies and preferences companies have already established.” The capabilities launch on July 31 following a pilot with select customers.
The trip building tool allows business travelers to use natural language to create policy-aware itineraries, while trip support can answer questions, find itineraries and make changes through conversational AI. In the event additional help is needed, human agents are available to take over.
An agent-to-agent connector is also being introduced, allowing companies to connect their own enterprise AI assistants. Kayak for Business offers the travel inventory, policy intelligence and booking capabilities while organizations' AI assistants “provide traveler context.”
“Business travelers are savvy. They often know exactly what they want, and they want to stay in control,” said Eva Fouquet, SVP of Kayak for Business.
“They want AI when it helps, and their own judgment when it matters. So we’ve woven AI alongside the search experience they already trust and put the traveler in charge of how much, when and even from where they use it. This is an evolution where AI and search work together, building on the tools travelers already rely on, rather than replacing them.”
