Travel management platform BizAway has picked up Uniglobe Alliance Travel to strengthen its position in the Netherlands.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Mayfair Equity Partners, which invested €35 million in BizAway in 2024, backed the transaction. The acquisition was effective July 1, with BizAway citing the deal as an "important milestone in the company's international expansion."
Uniglobe Alliance Travel was founded in 2006 and currently operates five offices across the Netherlands. The travel management company (TMC) will continue to operate under its brand name as part of BizAway Group and within the Uniglobe Travel network for the remainder of 2026.
Uniglobe Alliance Travel's commercial director, Byron Bentley, will maintain his position, and there will be no changes to client contracts, service agreements or day-to-day operations, BizAway said.
“We have been looking for the right partner in the Benelux region for some time, and in Alliance Travel we have found exactly that. They have built something genuinely impressive: a loyal client base, a skilled and dedicated team and a reputation built on quality of service,” said Luca Carlucci, CEO of BizAway.
“Our ambition is to keep building on that foundation. This acquisition strengthens our position in the Netherlands and Europe, bringing valuable local expertise into BizAway Group. It allows us to continue serving medium and large companies in the region with an even stronger business travel proposition, combining technology, human support and international reach.”
In April 2025, BizAway, which is headquartered in Italy with a major office in Spain, acquired Spain-based TMC Aervio for an undisclosed amount. In 2023, it secured €10 million in financing from Illimity.
