Italy-based Smartness has raised €47 million in Series B funding to expand across Europe. The company's agentic artificial intelligence (AI) platform automates operations for hotels and vacation rentals.
The Series B was led by United Ventures and CDP Venture Capital SGR, with participation from existing investor Partech, which backed the company’s Series A in late 2023. That round brought in €13 million for Smartness, formerly Smartpricing, to expand its team and launch new products.
Founded in 2020, Smartness started as a revenue management platform focused on dynamic pricing for hotels. It has since expanded into a broader hospitality software platform spanning pricing, guest communications, CRM, payments and property management tools.
Co-founder Luca Rodella said in a LinkedIn post the company is building “the first true agentic system for lodging,” positioning the business around automation tied to operational outcomes rather than standalone software tools.
Rodello said Smartness is growing roughly 10% month over month and has annual recurring revenue (ARR) in the tens of millions.
According to Partech, Smartness serves over 5,000 customers in 41 countries and has grown more than sixfold since its Series A round.
“This milestone aligns with Smartness’s clear goal for 2026: tripling revenue through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions across Europe,” Partech said on LinkedIn.
The Series B brings Smartness’ total funding to €60 million.
