Hospitality technology startup Amenitiz has received a €6.5 million seed investment to expand into new markets and accelerate growth.
Point-Nine, Backed and Otium led the round, with angel investors including Travelperk’s Avi Meier, GoCardless’ Matt Robinson and Carlos Gonzales also participating.
Barcelona-based Amenitiz offers a complete operating system for independent hoteliers, B&Bs and cottages in Europe. It provides hoteliers with a website and a channel manager, as well as a property management system to automate tasks such as invoicing and payments.
With the funds, the company plans to extend its offerings with additional services like revenue management. It also plans on tripling the size of its 100-person staff to address demand in France, Italy and Spain.

“In this digital age, we believe running your hotel and developing a strong online presence should be as easy as booking a trip on Airbnb - if not easier,” says Amenitiz CEO Alexandre Guinefolleau.
“Unfortunately, as hoteliers become more and more reliant on online distribution, they often realize that their current tech stack - if any- is unnecessarily time-consuming, expensive and burdensome. We’re looking to change that by rebuilding the hotelier’s operating system and becoming a no-brainer for any hotelier in Europe.”
Launched in 2018, Amenitiz has helped more than 3,000 properties in 28 different countries.
The company says it grew 4x in 2020, despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
