Berlin-based vacation rental marketplace HomeToGo plans to complete its acquisition of vacation rental management company Interhome by the end of this week.
The news comes after the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) greenlit Dertour Group’s planned acquisition of Hotelplan Group, excluding the Interhome brand. The regulatory body initially expressed concern that the deal could create a “dominant market position,” with the companies becoming the largest tour operator in Switzerland. Following a three-month investigation, COMCO approved the deal “without conditions or obligations.”
“We are extremely happy with the decision and have promptly initiated all necessary steps to implement the transaction, aiming to conclude the process as quickly as possible. We are very much looking forward to warmly welcoming our new colleagues from Hotelplan Group,” said Dertour Group CEO Christoph Debus.

“We are impressed by how the Hotelplan team managed the period of uncertainty during the in-depth review. All the more, we look forward to working together as one team. Together, we will be able to offer guests an even wider and more attractive range of travel and holiday options – with the promise of consistently high reliability, service and quality.”
Dertour will acquire four brands under Hoteplan Group, namely Hotelplan Suisse, Hotelplan Volume Tour Operating, Hotelplan UK and Hotelplan Business Travel. HomeToGo will be acquiring Switzerland-based Interhome, which is Hotelplan Group’s fifth subsidiary.
HomeToGo said the Interhome deal completes its “strategic evolution into a B2B company,” with its B2B segment, HomeToGo_PRO, becoming its largest line of business.
“The planned closing of Interhome marks a transformative new chapter in our journey that will unlock new levels of growth potential and profitability,” said HomeToGo co-founder and CEO Patrick Andrae.
“Interhome’s integration will establish HomeToGo_PRO as the leading software and tech-enabled service solutions provider for vacation rentals and will make our B2B segment our new center of gravity. We are thrilled to welcome Interhome and its exceptional team as we continue to further build Europe’s leading vacation rental group together.”
