EasyGuide, a ticketing platform for activities, has landed £1 million in funding from UKTV Ventures.
The injection in the online booking site comes from the investment fund of commercial broadcaster UKTV, whose parent company is BBC Studios.
The investment takes the form of “airtime-for-equity,” with easyGuide launching a TV campaign across seven UKTV channels in July with a potential audience of 26 million.
EasyGuide launched in 2019 with easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou taking a minority stake in the company, which also attracted seed funding at the time.

The startup, a standalone company under the 'easy' family of companies, launched its website in 2020 and offers thousands of attractions, experiences and tours.
Blake Reddy, CEO of easyGuide, says: “With travel well and truly back post‐lockdown, people are more eager than ever to find the best and most unique activities and experiences while traveling and in their local area. The huge reach that the UKTV network provides is the perfect way of building our brand recognition with a whole new audience.”
