Spanish online travel agency (OTA) Destinia has acquired two U.K.-based OTAs: Travel Republic and Netflights.
The acquisitions are part of Destinia's plan to expand to the British market and its larger international growth strategy.
While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, Destinia said the brands will continue to operate while it offers technological and operational support through the Destinia platform.
Ricardo Fernández, CEO of the Destinia Group, said Travel Republic and Netflights have nurtured long-term relationships with their clients.
“Our focus is on keeping the service and booking experience people trust, while supporting the brands with our systems and scale,” Fernández said.
Destinia said it will focus on providing continuity for customers. It also plans to extend its offerings in terms of holidays and flights with eyes on destinations including Spain, Italy, Portugal, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Greece and Turkey.
