Convious, an Amsterdam-based platform to help attractions
and other experience businesses serve guests before, during and after their visits,
has raised $12 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Begin Capital, with participation from
Market One Capital, Million Monkeys and FJ Labs and existing investor Capital
Mills.
Convious works with theme parks, zoos, museums, wellness facilities
and others to manage internal operations, increase conversions and enhance the
guest experience. The artificial intelligence-based platform processes all
sales transactions including tickets, food and related hotel accommodations,
providing personalized offers, dynamic pricing and analytics.

Founded in 2017, Convious says it currently works with more
than 125 companies in 16 countries, and it will use the funding to open offices
in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and other countries.
“Despite the large size, the experience economy lagged far
behind in transitioning to modern, cloud-based platforms,” says Camiel Kraan, Convious founder and CEO.
“We often hear from the operators that legacy systems are
keeping them back and busy, while they need an industry-specific product — with
Convious, we strive to satisfy their needs, delivering the best experience
possible and bringing them into the age of digitization.”
Says Begin Capital managing partner Ruslan Sarkisyan: “Out-of-home
entertainment is one of the few large markets that has not yet gone through a
digital transformation. Convious has built a must-have tech solution for the industry
with a mission to enrich the experience for venue managers as well as for
visitors.”
