Originally, the web represented a land of boundless opportunity, something that was seized on with gusto by marketers.
Fire up MSN, ask "the Internet" a question, and back comes the answer.
Recently though, the ever-expanding, limitless nature of the Internet has ceased to excite us and started to intimidate us.
Although we still go out to discover", we also spend large percentages of our time online "receiving" information, notifications and alerts that (on the face of it, at least) should keep us better informed and more productive.
This has big implications for marketers, both now and in the future.
