- Air New Zealand has unveiled its iampacked blog encouraging consumers to upload pictures of what's in their suitcase and provide tips on packing. The blog follows launch of the airline's Flying Social Network last year which is a timeline for all activity across its social media channels including product launches and competitions.
- Icelandair picked Row44 to outfit the airline's fleet with wifi, with the rollout slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012. The airline connects 15-20 cities in Europe with 5-8 airports in North America.
- Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority has updated its website with content and functionality in eight languages including English, Russian, Chinese and Arabic. A new hotel search facility has been added which combines deals and room availability from more than 50 booking engines. The upgraded site also features is also to act as a social media hub for the destination enabling visitors to post content.
- Two big wins for ArrivalGuides, securing online content agreements with British Airways and Ryanair. The destination guide provider's material will be used on the recently launched BA on-board information service via iPads, while Ryanair's new destination pages will also feature content from ArrivalGuides. The company now has over 42o destinations covered in its network.
- Ezeego1 will become a Viator re-seller after securing a deal to have the tour and activity provider's products sold on its sites. Viator content will be available on the India and Australia versions of Ezeego1 initially, before extending to travellers in the US, Middle East and Taiwan in the coming months.
