Waze, the community-based traffic and navigation app, may no longer be in talks with Facebook about a possible acquisition (according to All Things Digital), but it continues to find ways to capitalize on the social network's open graph.
The Israeli-based Waze today rolled out an update that adds integration with Facebook Events, helping users coordinate mapping and transportation planning for events posted socially on Facebook.
In a blog post, Waze employees explain the new features.

Facebook events will automatically appear in Wazers’ navigation lists shortly before the event is slated to begin. When ready to go, Wazers simply need to tap on the event and they will be routed there without any need to know the address before hand.
While following the driving directions via your device, you can see which of your friends are also en-route. Assuming they've opted to share that information publicly, Waze will reveal the estimated time of arrival for each friend en route.
Can your day-of-travel app do that? No.
