"Industry first" alert! Travel technology provider Ideas claims it has the first integration of a revenue management tool with voice control devices.
The company says its G3 RMS product can now be operated by hoteliers on-the-go, by using their Amazon Echo of Google Home.
The idea is that property owners will increasingly want to do all the usual functions associated with revenue management of a hotel - performance data such as occupancy, room rates, competitor rates, forecasts, revenue details, etc - from multiple devices.

Doing so via an Echo or Home is an extension of existing access to such services on a mobile or desktop.
The G3 RMS voice control will allow a hotelier to access real-time data and performance metrics from their Amazon or Google-powered device.
It will also be available in multiple languages.
"Revenue management solutions are a critical intersection point, often storing data from a multitude of disparate systems," the company says. "Voice technology now makes accessing all that data even simpler, driving more efficiencies and productivity within an organization."
