In less than three hours a live 12-hour underwater dive will be broadcast via YouTube from Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
The ReefLive event is claiming a world first and will feature marine biologist Richard Fitzpatrick talking to anyone tuning in to the Tourism and Events Queensland channel.
As promotions go, this one is quirky, ties in nicely with Worlds Oceans Day on 8 June and is in keeping with previous adventurous campaigns, including 'Best Job in the World', from the destination's marketing organisation.
Viewers will also be able to interact with the divers via Twitter using #reeflive.
The event is supported by a Meet the Reef competition on Visit Queensland's Facebook page to win a Great Barrier Reef experience.
