Travel app TripScout will embark on a range of new initiatives following the capture of a seed round to the tune of $2.1 million.
The investment is being led by Corazon Capital and includes participation from a number of other funds including New Stack Ventures, MATH Ventures and Connetic Ventures.
The round includes a $300,000 pre-seed investment from Village Global and 500 Startups that was originally mooted in late-2018 but is being rolled into the new capital.

TripScout works as a "travel entertainment" platform, giving users the opportunity to learn about things to do in a destination and create itineraries based on the dates that they're expecting to visit.
Points of interest include museums and landmarks to cafes, shops and restaurants, as well as a recently introduced feature that gives travelers a personalized overview of any upcoming trips, including a trip countdown, new recommendations and weather summaries.
TripScout was created in 2015 by chief product officer Andy Acs and CEO Konrad Waliszewski.
The new investment will be used to build out its personalization and recommendation engine, expand its marketing team and launch desktop and Android versions of the app (it's currently restricted to iOS).
Other new features will be tickets for experiences, events, transport passes and tours will be introduced as well as accommodation services.
"There are tons of commoditized booking platforms and generic travel tools, but we craved daily inspiration personalized to create our own, unique trip.
Waliszewski says: "Whether we were scanning travel videos for inspiration months before our trip, refining an existing itinerary weeks before we depart, or discovering that hidden gem around the corner from our hotel while in destination, we needed a go-to mobile platform to use every day."
