Saudi Arabian Airlines partners with MTT for mobile push
- Mobile Travel Technologies is to develop mobile apps and mobile web services in Arabic for Saudia. The plan is to introduce Android and iOS applications in phases with an iPhone app first to come featuring flight search, status and check-in. MTT's Intelligent Push Engine is also integrated with the app enabling travellers to receive real-time travel updates.
Monday 11 August 2014:Expedia gets friendly with Buzz app
- Users of Buzz Launcher, an Android application which allows handset owners to customise or create homescreens and widgets for their devices, will now be able to download Expedia-branded themes. The so-called "homepacks" feature location-based themes (Japan, Korea, Bangkok and Hawaii) as an on-device portal to other services, such as maps, food and guide apps, and a currency exchange. The Expedia mobile application is also included in the free platform.

- The MPlayer service works first by letting passengers download an application to their Apple of Android-hosted phones or tablets. Once 0n-board each unit connects with the IFE so they can watch a selection of movies or TV shows, listen to music or browse other flight information and services. The service comes at a price, however, with £3.99 required to access the services.
Bravofly updates Apple and Android applications
- The online travel agency has overhauled its existing apps to take advantage of new functionality available on both systems. The apps now feature a matrix-type comparison function, product packaging search, product storing tools and a payment engine.
