TripCreator, a trip planning service, has raised $8 million in funding from venture capitalists and business angels.
The Iceland-based company works with travel agencies and other industry companies, enabling them to create and manage trips itineraries as well as providing a white label service.
Travel agencies can use the platform free of charge and share commission earned from suppliers with TripCreator.
The company says its platform holds hundreds of thousands of points of interest that can be integrated with other travel inventory to make recommendations to customers.
TripCreator also offers mobile apps, which allow travelers to update itineraries; a real-time suggestions functionality will be introduced in October.
