Changes at board level for Travelport as a new chairman is unveiled to replace Jeff Clarke and a number of new directors join following the recent completion of its refinancing.
Douglas Steenland becomes chairman of the board of directors, moving up from his previous role as vice chairman under Clarke.
Clarke, previously president and CEO of Travelport until June 2011 who became chairman of the board in February 2012, will remain as a director and chair of its audit committee and a member of its compensation committee.
Existing members of board, Martin Brand, Paul Schorr and Anthony Bolland, have all resigned their positions as a result of the refinancing and will be replaced by representatives from two of the company's principal shareholders: Gregory Blank of Blackstone and Scott McCarty of Q Investments.
The announcement of new board comes the same week as Travelport secures a significant piece of business in the online travel agency world in the Asia-Pacific region in the shape of Zuji.
The switch from Sabre to Travelport for GDS services at Zuji follows the sale of the OTA to Webjet in December 2012 by parent company Travelocity.
Webjet is one of the market leaders in Australia and New Zealand and snapped up Zuji for $25 million to help boosts its presence around the wider APAC region.
The migration to Travelport is expected to take place over the course of the next few months, aligning it with Webjet which has had a partnership for GDS services with Travelport for many years.
Zuji was not under contract for GDS services to Sabre as previous owner Travelocity is a division of Sabre Travel Holdings.
A Webjet official says:

"As we have a long term, and highly supportive relationship with Travelport, it made sense that we move the business post completion of the purchase, which happened on March 22."
Meanwhile, director of global marketing communications at Travelport, Erin Hadaway, has left the company to join previous employer Porter Novelli in Atlanta.
Her departure comes six months after that of chief marketing officer Gillian Gibson who left the business in October last year.
Vice president of US sales, Tina Iglio, who took up the position in January this year, has also departed to become senior vice president of marketing at MLT Vacations.
