It was founded in 2014 by a group of far-sighted Muslims, with senior management experience from travel and blue-chip companies, who came together to realize the HalalBooking vision of a global search website for halal-conscious travellers.

The site allows users to search accommodation for the halal-friendly facilities and services, including halal food on offer either in the hotel or nearby, washroom amenities and prayer places.
