Travel metasearch engine Travelfusion has relaunched its main B2C website with a number of new features and ahead of a series of other product improvements.
The site was completely redesigned in recent few months in order to enhance some of the features which were added in various stages over the course of the past year including a map search functionality.
Another element of the new look is to push a feature to allow users to see when a combination of fares with different suppliers result in a lower price ["trip has X bookings"]
The result rows have also been expanded to give more real estate to content on the site. The addition room will allow for the also recently added Trip Score tool to feature alongside results.
An enhanced version of Trip Score is also to be introduced in the coming weeks, indicating to users the distance and cost of elements of a journey, including non-air transportation.
Travelfusion says it is also looking to push into social media - firstly by heavily promoting its Facebook and Twitter streams on the homepage but in the coming weeks with the introduction of a new service.
Around 30 city or destination-specific Twitter accounts will be launched to push particular fares or deals from the system - a model also being used by Farecompare and Fly.com.
