If last week's data revealing the majority of smartphone users are now using their phones to access travel content wasn't enough, stats from Priceline illustrate how different products are affected.
The US-based online travel agency says it is seeing mobile travel "going mainstream" as the wider population - rather than so-called early adopters - purchase smartphones and dive in to the world of handset search and booking of products.
For example, around one in four renters of cars via the Priceline app on Apple devices are doing so on the same day as they wish to pick up the vehicle.
Furthermore, almost half of those buying for same-day hire are doing so two hours or under before pick-up time.
When it comes to hotels, Priceline says it has seen a change in the type of hotels being booked via its mobile apps over the course of the last year as more users have downloaded the app, reflecting a change in its demographic.
When the company first introduced its Hotel Negotiator app for the iPhone in 2009, users chose 3-star or higher hotels 82% of the time.
Three years on and, today, 63% of iPhone users choose luxury hotels, whilst users of its Android app choose 3-star and above for the majority of their bookings (54%).
Apple iPad users are the "pickiest", officials say, opting for 3-star and above hotels just over two-thirds of the time. The move toward lower price-point hotels for the iPad has continued with each new version of the device.
Chief product officer John Caine says the company is seeing more mobile devices belonging to "mainstream Americans".
The booking behaviour of such new users, Caine adds, is "more closely parallel desktop-equipped hotel bookers".

"This is another indication that the mobile marketplace for travel services is broadening as the popularity of mobile devices grows."
