Marriott has teamed up with Samsung and Legrand to launch what it's calling "the hotel room
of the future."
The hotel chain has launched what it's calling the Internet of Things (IoT) hotel room in partnership with the two tech companies.
Claiming the room is part of the company's global sustainability efforts and goals, Marriott's IoT Guestroom
Lab "allows multiple responsive IoT systems, devices and applications to communicate with one another to serve guests and optimize hotel operations."

In the fully integrated room, guests can - for example - order a wake-up call to come through on a virtual assistant, then go through their exercise routine on a full-length mirror, request additional housekeeping services
and even start a shower at their desired temperature, all with a few clicks of a few buttons.
Karim Khalifa, senior vice president of global design at Marriott International, says the goal was to team with the two technology giants to create a revolutionary
experience for their guests.
"We’re proud to be innovating with industry leading partners to get closer to revolutionizing the guest experience, along with hotel operations and even hotel construction."
