Majorca-based OTA Logitravel Group is confident that it can become a leading international player, with plans to expand its UK business and launch into Mexico this year.
In 2014 it turned over €514 million and carried 2.5m passengers, a year-on-year increase of 23% and 14% respectively.
The group is a mix of standard OTA content with some interesting speciality areas - train + hotel dynamic packaging capabilities, online cruise bookings for Spain and a B2B brand Traveltool used by 1,400 offline travel agents in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, France and Italy.
Its B2C presence includes these five countries as well as the UK, Finland and Germany.
It also has 10,000 hotels on its books, concentrating exclusively on Spanish and Portuguese coastal properties.
The UK business was launched in 2013 and this year Logitravel.co.uk plans to target the ski market and run its own escorted tours business, all bookable online.
Other plans for 2015 include plans to launch a site in Mexico. It has operated in Brazil since 2010 and this year Brazil saw the biggest growth of all its markets.
Another part of the business worth noting is its database - nearly 8 million people subscribe to its newsletters, of whom 2.5m are described as active.
