The World Cup will reshape Brazil in countless ways - economically, new infrastructure, a global spotlight on its social problems.
The country is also hoping the football tournament, one of the biggest sporting events on the planet, will pave the way for an influx of tourists in the years to come.
Until now, hundreds of thousands of online reviews of the country's hotels have painted a certain picture of its facilities and the quality (or not) of its properties.
But the influx of 600,000 visitors during the World Cup will have different expectations, needs and experiences than perhaps those that have come before them.
Therefore, in some respects, the experiences and reviews from fans over the course of the World Cup will no doubt also eventually skew the overall ratings given by consumer of many properties around the country.
To mark the occasion, before the reviews perhaps change forever, ReviewPro has examined some 350,000 reviews pulled from OTAs and other platforms to compile a list of the best hotels in the country, pulling out different aspects such as cleanliness, value for money or location.
