Mobile hotel booking specialist Go2Joy has raised a Series A+ round of $2.3 million.
The round for the Vietnam-based business was led by HB Investments with Platform Partners Asset Management also participating.
The investment comes on top of $2.5 million in Series A announced in February 2020.
Go2Joy says it plans to use the funds for sales and marketing as well as global expansion.
Managing director Simon Byun says the startup is carrying out market research for a potential launch in Thailand and is also eyeing the Philippines.
“I see that the overseas travel market is yet to recover until this year or longer. I see that the domestic travel market will recover first. Go2Joy is specialized in local hotel demand. So, we’d like to utilize this pandemic to support local travelers and local hotels.”
