Tours, activities and experiences mobile booking app FunNow has attracted the financial attention of Taiwan online travel agency KKday with its new $15 million investment round.
KKday is one of a number of backers in the fellow Taiwan-based FunNow, alongside CDIB Capital, Darwin Ventures and Accuvest.
The Series B round was led by Perfect Hexagon Commodity & Investment Back and Ascendo Ventures from South Korea.
FunNow's most recent round came in 2018 with a $5 million in Series A funding led by Alibaba Entrepreneur Fund.
The mobile app says the new funding with used to extend the service to other countries in the Asia region, including Singapore and Thailand.
It already has a presence in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan, as well as its domestic market in Taiwan.
FunNow connects users to experiences in a destination, such as restaurants, activities, movies and other things to do, competing with the likes of Klook.
KKday itself secured a $75 million Series C round of its own in September 2020.
