Travel content provider Frommers is the latest travel firm to launch a series of apps for the iPhone and iPad devices by Apple.
The apps were released quietly earlier this month to the iTunes app store but are only being announced officially today.
Frommers has attempted to cram in as much information and functionality into the app as possible rather than focus on a single tool - focussing perhaps on providing an all-encompassing assistant for users.
The app includes:

The postcard service allows users to take pictures and then forward them via email or social network sites (
Twitter,
Facebook etc) to friends.
However, despite the reams of functionality and content, the app has only been modestly received by users during its test phase, with an average rating of 2.5/5.
