Just for fun. European metasearch engine WhichAirline wanted to find out how long Father Christmas would take to deliver his presents in the absence of his usual transportation.
WhichAirline decided to work out the logistics of visiting 29 cities (including 27 capitals) from his home town of Rovaniemi in Finland in the shortest amount of time, ensuring all presents are delivered in Western Europe.
The site worked out the following:
- 31 individual flights
- 30 airports
- 18,192 kilometres (11,304 miles) travelled
- 43 hours and 15 minutes in the air
- 17 airlines used
- 14 types of aircraft
And the total cost?
Bring back Rudolph and co. :)
