Peer-to-peer boat rental for travellers, Click & Boat, has caught the eye of Olma Fund investment fund and sailed to a €1 million round.
The company says the capital will be used to expand the service in other European territories and create new services.
Click & Boat was created in 2013 in France by Edouard Gorioux and Jeremy Bismuth, with the idea of creating a platform so that owners cam make money from their boats by renting out to travellers.
It has so far raised €1.7 million and says there is another round in the offing soon.
Rival brand Sailsharing was recently acquired by Click & Boat for an undisclosed fee.
The company currently has some 8,000 boats on the platform in 22 countries.
It has alreadyhandled 22,000 rentals this year and claimns to have secured €10 million in turnover.
