The world of hotel searching and shopping has evolved into new unchartered waters we call metasearch.
From the announcement of Google’s Hotel Finder, to Priceline’s purchase ofKayak, to the $30 million investment by Expedia in Room 77, the world of hotel suppliers and OTAs is in a major spin due to metasearch.
These OTAs embrace the model and contribute a significant share of upstream traffic to hotel supplier and other websites. However, many suppliers and OTAs are sitting on the sidelines wondering where they fit into the game of hotel metasearch.
They are asking questions such as: "How does the metasearch model impact my margins, bandwidth, referrals, content and profits?"
It is rather awkward that in the world of meta, OTAs are competitors and partners at the same time. Indeed from a first glance metasearch is a bit of a mystery in the hotel industry.
This FREE webinar will demystify how metasearch relates to the hotel industry and clarify the opportunities and challenges in this ever-evolving and cutting-edge business model.
