Travix is the latest intermediary to be recruited by Amadeus to help build out services based on New Distribution Capability protocols.
Following a recent deal signed with Flight Centre to assist with development of Amadeus's offline agency selling platform, Travix will become part of the NDC-X program to help with the online version.
The Netherlands-based group will have an ongoing partnership to help Amadeus define how its Web Services platform should evolve so that it operates using NDC-based standards.

These elements will include how online travel agencies can allow customers to shop, order and pay for flights and other ancillary services.
The eventual product will encompass both NDC and non-NDC content, as well as allow for customer management of their trips through the OTA, including flight changes, cancellations and buying more ancillary products.
Travix CEO, John Mangelaars, says: "In a diverse content world, it’s crucial to have one single end-to-end process for booking and servicing NDC and non-NDC content. With NDC, we hope to have richer airline content for our customers, ultimately helping us deliver more personalized and differentiated travel experiences."
The deal comes the same month as Travix became the first customer for Lufthansa's NDC-based Smart Offer platform.
