Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered travel platform Mindtrip is targeting destination marketing organizations (DMOs) with technology to uncover the questions travelers are asking AI assistants.
The Answer Intelligence solution also enables DMOs to create content optimized for AI discovery helping destinations to increase their visibility.
Mindtrip cited unpublished research with MMGY Travel Intelligence, Sabre and Sojern showing 70% of DMOs have seen AI-driven declines in organic search traffic.
The company, a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2025, said the solution is powered by millions of traveler conversations across Mindtrip.ai and its DMO customers.
It also said Answer Intelligence highlights areas where a destination’s content falls short on topics and then generates AI-assisted content recommendations to help plug those gaps.
"For years, destinations optimized for search engines. Today, they need to optimize for answers,” said Andy Moss, co-founder and CEO of Mindtrip. “Answer Intelligence gives destinations visibility they've never had before into what travelers are actually asking AI and helps them create content that earns attention, builds trust and inspires people to visit."
In addition to content creation, Answer Intelligence surfaces regional travel trends and traveler interests, helping destinations compare themselves with other markets.
A recent audit by destination content platform Obvlo on AI readiness among travel brands gave DMOs a score of 38 out of 100. The audit ranked one webpage with brands able to earn a total of 25 points for infrastructure (crawl-accessibility, page speed, mobile readiness, etc.), 25 points for AI readiness (signals AI reads) and 50 points for page analysis (factual density, content depth, internal linking, etc.).
