Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered trip planning specialist Tryp.com has closed a €1.9 million funding round bringing its total funding to €5.9 million
The investment in the Denmark-based company was led by Point Capital Partners, with previous investor Iberis Capital and angel investors also participating.
The funding will be used for geographical expansion to Asia and the Americas, onboarding more travel brands and launching experiences on the platform.
"Airlines already have the flights and the customers. What they lack is technology that turns one ticket into a complete trip, built in seconds. That is what we build. Wizz Holidays shows our engine working at airline scale, and this round lets us bring it to more partners while our own platform keeps growing past 10 million users,” said André Rangel de Sousa, co-founder and CEO of Tryp.com.
The company said it reaches approximately 1 million users a month and that sales passed €1.2 million September.
Recent product releases include personalized trip suggestions and airport, station and hotel transfers.
"Tryp.com carves a unique niche at the intersection of travel search and booking, with a focus on flexible, budget-conscious travelers seeking complex, multi-stop journeys. With over 10 million users, its technology has already secured a strategic partnership with Wizz Air, a collaboration set to accelerate its growth. The company is led by an A-player founding team that has consistently executed on its vision,” said Pedro Ceia, investment manager for Point Capital Partners.
