Mastercard has partnered with MakeMyTrip (MMT) to launch an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered travel and lifestyle concierge.
The service, which is called Lifestyle Navigator, aims to offer a personalized experience by combining MMT’s travel marketplace and trip planning assistant, Myra, with Mastercard’s AI capabilities.
MMT is the first online travel agency partner for Mastercard with this initiative and it is also being deployed first in India.
Lifestyle Navigator aims to help travelers in the planning phase and during travel by curating destination insights and recommending relevant payment products.
“Our AI-powered trip planning assistant, Myra, has been developed to convert data-led insights into personalized experiences that are timely and relevant for each traveler,” said Rajesh Magow, co-founder and group CEO, MakeMyTrip.
The service, which makes recommendations based on traveler intent and preferences, will be available within MMT’s platform later this year.
“With Lifestyle Navigator, we are entering a new era where discovery, planning and experiences come together through AI,” said Gautam Aggarwal, president, India and South Asia, Mastercard. “By pairing Mastercard’s global network of offers and privileges with MakeMyTrip’s deep travel expertise, we’re harnessing AI and data intelligence in a way that is practical, trusted and deeply contextual—helping consumers make better decisions while enabling a more connected, intelligent travel ecosystem in India.”
