BCD Travel has made a strategic investment in Amgine, an artificial intelligence (AI) automation platform for corporate travel. The investment amount was not disclosed.
The companies have an existing partnership, confirmed in July 2025 after BCD piloted the technology for four months.
Amgine provides tools for travel management companies and corporate travel departments to help turn travel requests from email, Slack, WhatsApp and group air into completed bookings. BCD said the platform has been used for group-air management, email automation and other AI initiatives.
“In the past year, we've seen incredible productivity benefits from the Amgine AI platform in areas such as group booking, where we’ve serviced hundreds of group air programs and parsed thousands of emails so agents can focus on the experience they deliver to travelers,” said Yannis Karmis, EVP of product planning and development at BCD.
“Because Amgine’s technology has delivered proven results, we’re ready to scale and extend that value to additional areas of the operation across the world.”
BCD CEO Stephan Baars said the investment and deeper partnership with Amgine also reflect its “Open by Design” philosophy, announced earlier this year, where BCD offers flexibility to choose between its proprietary tech, tech from partners like Amgine and third-party tools selected by customers.
“Travel buyers increasingly expect AI to improve efficiency, service quality and the traveler experience. In partnering even more closely with Amgine, including aligning our technology roadmaps, we’re moving faster to produce meaningful and visible results for travel programs of all types,” Baars said.
