Tours and activities technology platform Holdbar has received $1 million in pre-seed funding.
The round for the Denmark-based business was led by Founderment.
Holdbar, which has just closed beta testing with 30 customers, is developing a software platform to help tours and activities operators distribute their products and services as well as drive efficiency.
The startup has been founded by Lasse KJaer and Lars Daniel Blom Rasmussen who are CEO and CTO, respectively.

Kjaer recently stepped down from his position at Truestory, an experience-based platform for the Nordics region, which he founded 10 years ago.
In a blog post announcing the funding and details of the business, Kjaer says Holdbar wants to be an "all-in-one software platform:
"From our work with Truestory, we have seen firsthand how many operators have out-of-date and inefficient systems to support their business and booking availability… And in many cases, they don’t have a system at all.
This has made it nearly impossible for the operator to integrate into distribution channels, and it has created a very bad customer experience of not being able to book directly."
Holdbar will use the funding to expand its team.
