Although eDreams Odigeo holds the title as number one in flights in Europe, it falls behind Expedia and Booking.com in market share.
Still, the OTA has enough brand recognition among the competition that it’s been able to establish itself as the top customer service provider to help grow its business, eDreams CEO Dana Dunne argues at last week’s Phocuswright Conference.
In the Center Stage session, Dunne also explained that its market presence has allowed it to diversify out of flights and into non-flight products and services.
He also addressed the company’s plans to potentially sell last year as well as its ambitions around dynamic packages.
The session is proceeded by an overview of the market, provided by Phocuswright's Lorraine Sileo.
