Travel payments specialist AirPlus International is hoping to improve the travel process for non-employee business travel following a partnership with Pana.
Pana, which offers a booking tool and chat platform, has carried out research showing that one-in-five business trips involve travel for a non-employee.
The tie-up will enable companies to arrange travel for potential new employees, contractors and other guests via Pana’s app.

The process is simplified via the app as well as through a single-use virtual card for payment to suppliers so that the traveler is not out of pocket.
In addition, the Pana concierge service offers in-trip updates on flights and potential dining options as well as enabling travelers to upload receipts via mobile.
Airplus International CEO Rebecca Kilby says: “Whenever you have non-employee travel, it falls out of standard travel policy. Paying for this group of people can be challenging both at time of payment and also when reconciling to the proper department within the company.”
