- Wyndham Hotel Group is pushing a suite of new tools out to its 7,000 properties around the world, allowing managers to organise and evaluate guest feedback and handle rates and inventory. The two platforms, WynReview and MyRequest, were launched at the chain's annual conference in the US this week.
- There are all kinds of perks you can get from a co-branded airline credit card, but the Citi Platinum Select/AAdvantage card claims to have introduced a unique feature -- when you redeem AAdvantage miles, you'll earn 10% miles back up to 10,000 miles per year. Citi says cardholders will receive the miles 6-8 weeks after booking.
- Ebookers is looking to strengthen its accommodation pedigree with senior promotions in its hotel services division. John Ryan becomes vice president for hotel services for EMEA and Julia Mighall will be regional director for the UK and Ireland, Middle East and Africa. The pair have worked at Ebookers for three and four years respectively.
- New board member at UK-based Teletext Holidays, with Artrix CEO and co-founder Daniel Lee joining with new finance director Jane Hendy. They join chairman Chris Letcher, managing director Victoria Sanders and marketing director Mark Bloxham. The company says it has seen record online searches in the first quarter of 2012. Despite the brand's heritage with TVs, including recent moves into web-connected television apps, mobile and the web are the "big drivers", the company says.
