Hampton Hotels has dropped some insight into the "Weekend State of Mind" of Americans with a survey that reveals an absolutely shocking result: Americans are really into their weekends! Which means, of course, that they are not the same people they are during the week.
One in three Americans (33 percent) claims they are a “completely different person” on the weekends than they are during the week, which begs two questions: 1) What happens to the other 2/3 of people that just stay the same, and 2) how are these respondents different during the weekend.
While there was no insight into the majority who felt no different during their days off, here's how the wild-style 33% of respondents changed:
- 74% felt more spontaneous on the weekends
- 56% said they were more fun to be around on the weekends
- 53% said they were more impulsive
- 46% said they were more imaginative
- 45% said they were more agreeable
- 44% felt more creative on Saturdays and Sundays.
- They are also likely to be less organized (34 percent), less neurotic (34 percent) and less competitive (23 percent) than their weekday personas.
Other salacious weekend realities:
- 8% avoid showering at all.
- 12% avoid seeing anyone at all.
- 11% don't get out of their pyjamas.
- The younger you are, the more likely you are to use the word EXCITING!
Thankfully, in the spirit of the upcoming weekend, Hampton has created an easy-to-digest infographic for those of us quickly transforming into our weekend alter-egos.
Perhaps you, dear reader, will recognize some of these fine weekend traits in yourself? We most certainly do!
